How to Make the Oven Grilled Tilapia
Wash the Fish
It is very important to remove the dirt from the fish and wash it properly with salt and warm water, you can also use lime and water. Afterward, pat it dry with a paper towel, then set it aside.
Make the Marinade
The next thing to do is make the marinade, by blending all the ingredients to become smooth. First, you have to combine all the ingredients in a blender, and when you eventually blend it smoothly, pour it inside a bowl and set it aside as well.
Make A Deep Cut on The Fish
This is largely dependent on the size of the fish. If it is big enough, you can make about three cuts, or even more. Ensure you reach every corner of the fish, with the marinade. You mustn’t miss the deep cut as well.
After achieving this, you can cover up the fish and place it in the fridge, for at least, twenty minutes, or possibly, overnight. Just make sure you allow the marinade to penetrate deep inside the fish.
Remove the Fish from the Fridge
When you remove the fish from the fridge, uncover the foil paper and rub it again with some marinade. Place it in a preheated oven, and leave it for fifteen minutes. After fifteen minutes, flip the tilapia to the other side, and rub it with some marinade again. This time, leave it to cool for ten minutes or a little more.
Rub It with Marinade Again
After cooking for ten minutes, flip the tilapia to the first side again, and rub it with the remaining marinade. You can now leave it for another five to ten minutes. This is depending on how brown you want the fish to be. Once you are done, it is ready for consumption. You can now enjoy your easy oven-grilled tilapia!
