How to Make the Homemade Pizza Recipe
Stir the Tomato Paste, And Other Ingredients
First, you start with stirring together, the tomato paste, Italian seasoning, black pepper, onion powder, minced garlic, honey, water, brown sugar, and of course salt to taste. Set it aside.
Combine the yeast, Sugar, and Warm Water
Get a deep or large bowl, and combine the yeast, sugar, and warm water. Leave it to sit for about five to ten minutes, until you are sure the yeast is well dissolved and foamy. Afterward, stir in the olive oil, and add salt.
And the Flour
It’s time to add the flour and mix it until you are sure the ingredients are well combined, after which you transfer it to a work surface. Ensure you knead until the dough is smooth and elastic.
After doing this, form the dough into a ball, and place it into a bowl. Make sure the bowl has been coated with olive oil, then turn it around so that it can be evenly coated with the olive oil. Now, cover it with a plastic wrap, or damp kitchen towel. Leave it to rise for about one hour, or until you are sure it has doubled in size.
Punch Down the Dough
You can punch down the dough to remove the trapped air, after which you transfer it back to a lightly floured work surface. Divide the dough into your choice of size. Actually, you can decide to do fourteen inches large, or a small one which could be four inches. Use your hand to push the dough, and if not, you can use a rolling pin.
Whatever choice you make, just ensure you dust the pizza pan with some cornmeal, and place the flattened-out dough on the pan. You can continue to push the dough till it reaches the size of your pan. Also, ensure you create a lip around the edge for the crust. Leave it to rest for about five minutes, before adding the toppings.
Spread the Sauce on The Pizza
Actually, before doing this, ensure you brush the dough with some olive oil, while concentrating more on the edges. This will definitely help to achieve the golden-brown crust.
Now, you can spread the sauce on the pizza, and add the cheese. You can add your favorite toppings as well, after which you bake in a 450, and leave for ten to twelve minutes. Don’t forget to rotate halfway between.
Serve and Enjoy!
Obviously, pizza is best enjoyed while still hot, however, you may choose to allow it cool for a while; just a few minutes. This would actually prevent burns. Just enjoy!
