How to Make the African Crispy Spring Rolls?
Preheat the Two Tablespoons of Oil
First, you have to start with preheating the two tablespoons of oil in the pan and sauté the onions, as well as scallion. Do this until it is translucent, after which you can add the chili pepper, curry powder, black pepper, and then salt to taste. Don’t forget to add the stock cube as well.
Add the Beef
It’s time to add the ground beef. Actually, you can use a wooden spoon or even spatula to break it up into tiny pieces, after which you stir-fry. Do this until the meat is thoroughly cooked, then add the shredded cabbage and carrots. You can turn off the heat to prevent the vegetables from turning soggy, and then leave it to cool before you use it.
Mix the Flour
Get a deep bowl, mix the flour and water, to make the paste, and put it aside. Afterward, add about one tablespoon of filling to the spring roll sheet. Actually, it is best not to cook the vegetables, before stuffing the sheets, as it might make it soggy. The best thing to do is mix the vegetables with the meat, as soon as it is well cooked.
Then allow everything to cool down, before filling the spring roll sheets. You can actually add a little more, depending on the size of the sheets. However, you shouldn’t overfill it, if not, it is going to burst while frying, just make sure to secure it with the paste and roll it up. Also, do not forget to cover both the rolled and unrolled sheets, with a damp kitchen towel. This will definitely prevent it from frying.
Serve and Enjoy!
Next, fry the preheated oil of about 350F, until golden brown. You can now serve with any dip or sauce of your choice, or even eat as is. Basically, enjoy!
